The Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) is a nationally recognised qualification, structured to develop the essential skills and knowledge required to provide quality care to older adults and individuals with disabilities. This programme is designed to meet ASQA guidelines and compliance standards, ensuring learners gain industry-relevant expertise. Comprising 15 units, the course covers both core and specialised topics in ageing and disability support. It is delivered as a self-paced programme, designed for completion within three months, allowing flexibility for learners balancing other commitments. Core subjects include person-centred care, effective communication, safe work practices, and fostering independence. A key component of this course is an on-site work placement, enabling learners to gain hands-on experience and apply their knowledge in real-world settings. This practical experience complements theoretical learning, preparing graduates for immediate entry into roles within residential, home, and community care environments. Upon successful completion, graduates will be well-equipped for roles in the health and social care sectors, with the practical skills and nationally accredited knowledge needed for positions such as support worker and care assistant in aged care and disability support.
